Align Yoga

In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.

Yoga props will be introduced when required which are used to support the body. Jacki will give individualized adjustments and corrections.

This class is suitable for all levels and ages.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga gives us that space to slow down and stay with our experiences, rather than rushing and striving to achieve. Yin yoga is a floor based practice where poses are held for several minutes, within these long holds there is an encouragement of softness and an emphasis on relaxing muscular tissue. Through the stillness we can become aware of the various sensations within the body and the fluctuations of the mind, body and breath, this brings a sense of harmony and peace so there is a greater sense of ease and feeling of calmness and acceptance.

This class is suitable for all levels and ages.
