Q. What do I need to do before attending a class for the first time?

A. Please print out this Health Questionnaire and bring it with you to your first session.

Q. How do I book a class?

A. You can book and pay on-line.  If you are a newcomer you will be required to complete a health questionnaire form which can be downloaded from the Hot Yoga page.

Q. Do I need to be flexible?

A. No! Everyone starts somewhere, even more reason for you to practice yoga, however, you may feel more comfortable in a beginners class. Remember Yoga is for everyone, you will be amazed how your flexibility improves.

Q. Who are classes suitable for?

A. Our classes at Body Bliss Yoga range from beginners to advanced so everyone can attend. We do a class description which we advise you to look at so you chose the right class for you. If you are concerned due to illness or injury please ask our team for advice.

Q. What shall I wear?

A. Anything loose and comfortable, allowing freedom of movement. For the hot classes you will sweat so wear light clothing. Women usually wear shorts or leggings with vests or crop tops. Men wear shorts with T-shirts.

Q. Can any age attend?

A. 12 years upwards. Under 18s will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Q. Are there any times I should avoid a class?

A. If you are dehydrated, feeling poorly with any cold or flu-like symptoms or have a temperature. Hot Yoga is challenging, you need to feel well to attend a class.

Q. What do I need to know first time attending a hot class?

A. Be hydrated! Drink plenty of water before, during and after. We encourage you to bring a bottle of water with you in the class. You can purchase water at reception.

We recommend you refrain from eating two hours prior to a class.

The class will be designed for all levels but if you have a medical condition you are concerned about please consult your doctor first.

The studio is heated to 42 degrees so your first visit will be challenging. We advise you to stay in the room and rest if you need to in savasana, however, with regular practise, your mind and body does adapt to the heat.

Bring two towels with you, one for your mat, the other to shower with. You can hire towels from reception.

Relax and smile……. you are on the way to a new, healthier you.

Studio Etiquette

Clean, bare feet only in the Studio. Place your shoes in the shoe rack outside the studio. There are lockers provided in the changing rooms.

Please arrive in good time for your class – we do not allow students to enter once the class has started. It is disturbing to other students.

The studio is a mobile free zone.

Please refrain from chewing gum in the studio and place all litter in the bins provided.

Please avoid wearing heavy perfumes or colognes and from using spray deodorants in the changing rooms.

Quiet please whilst in the studio. Enjoy this time of peace.
